Update, October 2025:
I am really sad to update my previously very positive review of this place.
I trusted them with both my pups for 3 years. They are great for routinely stuff: vaccines, diarrheas, etc. However, the moment something serious happens, forget it.
As another former client told me last year: “Burekvet is the clinic where animals never fully heal”. At that time, I didn’t know what they meant. Then, I started paying extra attention to blood results, kartas, etc and realize the client was right. Over the course of 4 years, I had been charged almost 50K, of which 50% belong to 2024 alone and my pup were never fully healed.
For the owner of this establishment, everything is a “chronic cold”. How can she always diagnosed the same after performing tests, USGs, etc is a mystery to me. What I know if that more than one person I know have lost their pet because of this “chronic cold” misdiagnosed. .This is why, when one of my dogs started having difficulties breathing and this person diagnosed a “chronic cold”, I looked for a second and third opinions. Of course, it was not a “chronic cold”, it was a misdiagnoses and mishandling in the hands of this clinic.
I wrote not one, but two complaints to the owner of this place and she replied via a five-year-old lawyer with the letter you see attached. Such letter is a joke. It is not only unprofessional and childish, it lacks of legal background and evidence-support.
Sadly, the ego of these people blinds them when you need them and they will do anything to be right, not to DO what is right for your animal.
I was very lucky and my dog is now in good hands. In the past 6 months with a different doctor, my dogs have been fully healthly like never before.
Of course, Burkevet never issued an apology for their mistakes that include not only the above-mentioned misdiagnoses, but also mistakes in blood tests (I have evidence where they confirmed in writing that they made a mistake), prescriptions, etc.
I understand, they are overwhelmed, and over tired, but this has costed me, and many other clients, an incredibly high financial burden and emotional distress for our animals and for us.
Please, note that given that I tried to find an amicable solution with the owner of this place and she refused, there is now an official file being reviewed at the correspondent regulatory body at regional national, and EU level (European Medical Agency). No one should keep suffering the ego and malpractice of this person.
PS please, note that our contractual language was always english, yet Burekvet very disrespectfully replied to my attempt to find a positive solution for all of us, via lawyer and only in polish. As per the local legislation and EU directives, this alone is a violation. Very disappointing.
2021: We've been there twice this month and loved the service. Dr. Julia is our vet and she's great. As expats who don't speak the language, it's been such a relief to find them.
