absolutely no help after the cat ate a string. To wait while other vets treats this as emergency. We already switched veterinary after repeated bad experiences but came here as it was the closest for an emergency. “Do you have appointment?” Please turn your brain on

My cat died here, so unfortunately I`m not able to leave positive feedback. I don`t know if it would help in case something was done in another way, but the state changed from thickened pancreatic to pancreatic and kidneys failure in just one day. On the first visit, when the cat had diarrhea and vomiting, dr. Baravets gave her some painkiller and anti vomiting shots and made IV with Ringer, made ultrasound and said that cat`s organs on ultrasound weren`t in a state which require blood testing, but during next 24 hours cat`s temperature dropped from 41 to 36 and cat almost didn`t move - maybe earlier blood testing would show problem earlier and helped, maybe not. Unfortunately, dr. Baravets didn't see signs that hospitalization might be required and that something more than Coloceum would be needed, only said to return the next day in case the cat will not start to eat. Unfortunately, she didn't. No drinking, no eating and as already said barely moving after the night. Appreciate that dr. Niedbala took us without waiting and made reanimate actions on our second visit the next day, however that was too late eventually. The cat was left in the clinic`s internal care over the weekend, they promised to call on Saturday and Sunday, but we received the call only on Sunday evening and the other one when the cat was already dead, so we were without any information for more than 24hrs. They didn`t answer the phone either, so it wasn`t possible to get updates on the cat's state. I understand that it was out of working hours, but being without any info was really hard. Dr. Wnuk, who took care of the cat over the weekend, was compassioned though and tried to give information as much tolerant as possible. So I can say thanks to the staff for their efforts, I hope they really did what they could, however I lost the best cat in the whole universe, who was not old, was fine on Thursday morning, in a moderate state on Friday morning and dead on Monday morning, and I don`t know how to live with it now. P.S. Melovem was used by dr. Baravets as a painkiller, which, as I know now, have such contraindication - "Ze względu na ryzyko wystąpienia efektu nefrotoksycznego, unikać stosowania u zwierząt silnie odwodnionych". Acute pancreatitis can be caused by meloxicam as well. So, as for me, it is debatable whether it was appropriate to use such a drug for a pet who had diarrhea and vomiting.

The cat was vaccinated against rabies for the flight, but also for some other viruses. The passport issued 8 years ago by a different vet was not registered properly, but the chip was. This problem was also solved after some attempts and the new passport was issued. Helpful and problem-solving, animal-loving and animal-feeling people, also capable of helping the owners.
